Discography

The reasons for checking a discography may be quite different from individual to individual. The designer of a convenient discography must consider those who may be looking for an album title, a particular selection, or the time period of the release. The discography must  help the visitor to expeditiously achieve their information goal. Should you have any suggestions on the construction of the discography, or have any questions regarding a Mantovani recording not covered in the discography, please email the webmaster. If you cannot think of an album title or track title, the discography is broken into groups sorted by the decade in which the album was released. Simply select the decade of interest by clicking on the button, it will take you to the table of releases for the decade. Click on the "Back" button to return you to the discography main page. After selecting the decade using the buttons below, put your mouse pointer on Edit on the menu bar at the top of your browser. An option list will open and one of the options is Find (on this page). Type in your title or part of a title and the page to the menu then press the "Find Next" button.

Acknowledgements:

This feature of the Mantovani Fan Website would not be possible without the help of friends (called the Mantovanians) who are sincerely dedicated to the preservation of Monty's legacy. I depend upon them for expert advice and knowledge. Their knowledge is always shared within the context of unselfish devotion to Monty's legacy and it is the foundation upon which this site is built. The discography is based upon the expertise of my friend, Colin MacKenzie.

The information on the Japanese Compact Disks was supplied by my friends, Dr. Hidehisa Habe and Akima Toru. Both are wonderful Mantovani fans and have been friends of mine for some time. They too have considerable expertise in all things Mantovani.

The scope of the discography includes the decades below and will be as complete and accurate as possible.  Please be patient with the webmaster as the listing is built.

Check out the USA Library of Congress listings of Mantovani Recordings

The USA Library of Congress website offers a wonderful listing of Mantovani recordings, some are very rare, such as those recorded while Mantovani was conducting for Noel Coward and the Armed Forces Radio Transcription Service recordings. I found my little virtual tour of Mantovani material at the USA Library of Congress very interesting. This was pointed out to me by Beverly Stillwagon.
