What a difference one life can make! Your life became THE brightest light in the world of light orchestral music during your all too brief stay here on planet Earth. You brought beauty, grace, peace and joy through your music like no other, before or since. Those heavenly strains from your inimitable strings, to those who have the ear to hear, became instantly recognizable to your legions of fans. I became one of those fans in 1955 when I heard your rendition of the Rudolf Friml tune, "Dear Love, My Love." I have since gone on to purchase every record, tape, CD, film (and more) you ever produced. I want to say that I miss you and your contribution to the world of music. Not a day goes by without my listening to one or more of your recorded masterpieces. May those who read my words be inspired to purchase one or more of your original masterpieces. Then too will they know just how great you and your music really were. Heaven is richer and the world poorer since you left us in 1980. May your legacy of music continue to live throughout the next century and centuries to come! With love and appreciation, Rich Cox Lake Oswego, Oregon USA |
Some of the greatest thrills of my life were seeing and hearing Mantovani in concert seven times, meeting him backstage after several of the concerts, and having a very pleasant telephone conversation with him in London. Regretfully, I never had the chance to say this to you in person, but "Happy Birthday Mr. Mantovani. I'm sure you're playing to sold out audiences in the great concert hall in the sky". Tania, tengo 33 aňos de edad y soy de Peru For many years I have been unwillingly exposed to Mantovani music. My father is a big fan. I on the other hand enjoyed a more...lets just say modern beat. But now as I am getting a little older I have grown to really hear the beauty of the music and I must say I enjoy it. So Thank you Dad and Happy Birthday Mantovani. Beth Anne, 37 years old, Pennsylvania, USA |

Happy Birthday from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have been a great fan of your music for many years. Your 1950's "Album of Christmas Music" is still one of my all-time favourite Christmas albums, and I really wish I could get it on CD someday. All the best! James D. Haviland |
