For the most part they are absolutely awful in quality, sound nothing like Mantovani, and Mantovani Fans will recognize this within a few bars of the first track.  I believe this is just as serious and fraudulent as selling bogus Rolex watches.

We just added the new four disk set of Jasmine four CD collection of Mantovani 1951-54 called "Cascading Strings" (Jasbox 15-4). The pack includes 99 Mantovani hits.

Some of them say, Mantovani Orchestra and they are actually genuine recordings by Mantovani And His Orchestra. The "Strauss Waltzes" is not the orchestra conducted by Johann II Strauss but by the genuine Mantovani.

Mantovani's Christmas Favourites (From Amazon.com) This album (and CD) has been a family favorite/tradition since I was a kid. My dad would play the album every Christmas and it now brings good Christmas memories for my grown children. In fact, both of my grown daughters were asking for this CD to play for their families but they cannot locate. I used to wake the family to "Christmas Bells" every Sat. and Sunday before Christmas. Even though it made them mad, being woke early, they remember and miss those days.

Fortunately, that is now changing as more of the original LPs are being reproduced in their entirety on CD. This one which is resurfacing from 1993 is an unusual Australian compilation of Mantovani's work, unusual in that it spans three decades of Mantovani's prolific recording career: the 50's, 60's and 70's. The tracks that are rarely, if ever, found easily on currently available CD's are Anniversary Waltz, The Old Fashioned Way, Spanish Eyes, The Very Thought of You, And I Love You So. All the music found on this CD reflect the distinctive hallmarks of the Mantovani Sound, the very best in light orchestral music of the 20th Century that hopefully will remain available to enjoy for many decades to follow in the 21st. It was one of Maestro Mantovani's classic gold records, an enormous favorite then and now. These are the original London/Decca recordings so you will hear the brilliance of the authentic Mantovani sound. To some, it may be hard to imagine today, but this album of Strauss waltzes meticulously orchestrated by the late Mantovani stayed on Billboard's charts for about 60 weeks, reaching as high as #7. For those who cannot get enough of Mantovani LPs on CD, scoop this one up fast and enjoy Vienna through the creative lush sounds created by the world's greatest light orchestra leader.

The Love Songs (Retro)  (From Amazon.com) For a Mantovani cd that only has 12 songs... and something this is a great sounding cd.Mantovani performs such songs as None but the lonely heart,stardust smoke gets in your eyes,Arriverderci roma,whispering and seven more.This is simply beautiful music from Mantovani.All of these songs are so lush and beautiful.I recommend this cd.Also if you can find it instrumental favorites Mantovani is another great cd and contains about 24 of his most beautiful arrangements.

Tico Tico: Mantovani Goes Latin 20 Hot Originals (From Amazon.com) True Mantovani fans will be spiced up by this new compilation of "original" Mantovani recordings. The CD contains most of the original British tracks of two Mantovani LP's entitled, Latin Rendezvous (1963) and Ole Mantovani (1965). American fans will be overjoyed to hear two tracks not previously released on their American LPs - A Garden in Grenada and La Golondrina. The only complaint one can make about this CD is against the producers who added three "Italian" song tracks from a 1958 Mantovani recording entitled, Continental Encores. The producers must have eaten too many hot tomales when they decided to add Arriverderci Roma, Anema e Core, and Poppa Piccolino to this "all latin" CD. Those songs are wonderful, but their placement on this CD is bizarre. In any event, Mantovani fans will be thrilled to hear tracks as the Maestro arranged and recorded them, including several songs not found on any of the re-recorded CDs by the currently performing Mantovani Orchestra.
